I’m a baker by trade and by heart, and I’m deeply drawn to the sensory rhythm of artisan baking — folding delicate batters, breathing in the smell of fresh yeast, kneading bread dough, and knowing exactly when it’s ready by feel alone. Those quiet moments are grounding for me. They’re where confidence, instinct, and care meet.
After taking a longer, winding path, I went back to school to earn my pastry degree, and I knew almost immediately it was the right decision. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside many talented pastry chefs, learning not just technique, but respect for tradition, discipline, and the importance of intention in every step of the baking process.
By day, I work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where production, consistency, and speed matter — and there is value in that work. But this space exists in contrast to it. Here, I return to real food, thoughtful hands, and homemade baked goods that honor the process rather than rushing through it. This is where love and care are not optional — they’re essential.
I also have a deep affection for vintage cookbooks and heirloom recipes. Hunting for these treasures brings me so much joy — flipping through stained pages, handwritten notes, and forgotten techniques that remind me how deeply rooted baking is in history, nourishment, and connection.
